Linda believes that there is no substitute for being ready and confident “Right Now.” She also believes that the time to work on your EDGE Capabilities is not when you are pushing the edge. With fifteen years of experience as a public engagement specialist, guiding teams and ensuring that program goals, work plans, and products advance initiatives, Sarah serves as the Director of Public Engagement for Coady|Bowman. Working with more than 1,200 communities, Sarah has led a wide range of engagement efforts, ranging from single-day training workshops to multi-year planning and design efforts. This includes serving as project manager for engagement-focused publications for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, AARP, Quebec Ministry of Health, National Academy of Sciences Transportation Research Board, Abu Dhabi Municipality, and others. Sarah served as a graduate instructor of writing at the University of Notre Dame and as managing editor for the Notre Dame Review, working alongside Nobel and U.S. Laureates. She has edited engagement-focused publications for Better! Cities & Towns, ITE Journal, New York Times, Newsweek Magazine and Men’s Health Magazine. Sarah works with teams to improve community engagement processes through on-site facilitation and the development of outreach materials. She builds communications tools by identifying the expectations for products and their intended uses, empowering coalitions as they share findings and channel recommendations into next steps.

Trained as an architect, Lisl has led teams in the United States and in Europe in effectively communicating their design choices. She guides teams in developing and communicating key concepts through visual representations, renderings and info-graphics. She leads clients in making thoughtful design choices by ensuring that information is presented clearly and concisely.  As, Creative Director for Coady|Bowman, she has led teams in the United States and in Europe in effectively communicating their design choices. Working with AIA St. Louis Blueprint for America, Lisl organized community engagement charrettes for a historic neighborhood in St. Louis, connecting technical experts with community advocates. These efforts resulted in a complete design of an open air farmer’s market and community gardens. To enrich her skills, Lisl’s love of graphic design was piqued while studying and traveling throughout Scandinavia. She attended Aalto University School of Science and Technology, studying sustainable building technologies, while serving as project manager for Team Finland’s entry into the Solar Decathlon Europe 2010 competition. Her team received first place recognition in architectural design and fifth place overall for designing and building a solar self-sufficient home. Lisl also spent time living and studying urban design in Copenhagen. Lisl has developed a number of educational tools, including the Walkability Workbook for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Lisl’s drawings have been submitted to the Library of Congress, as part of the HABS/HAER survey program of the National Park Service, the federal government’s oldest preservation program and the nation’s largest archive of historic architectural, engineering and landscape documentation.
